Our family is thrilled to have found Jennifer Melton. Her professionalism, expertise, musicianship and complete dedication to her craft and students is exceptional.
My 8 year old daughter has been studying with "Miss Jenny" for over a year now. Lesson time is organized and fun; a great mix of skills review, improvisation, teacher-student duets, and often a music game or special activity. Jenny is always on-schedule and prepares very thorough follow-up notes each week via email.
We have appreciated the structure of her chosen “Faber Piano Adventures” curriculum, but have also enjoyed how she adds my daughter’s favorite pop songs or seasonal tunes to her repertoire. Jenny customizes each lesson plan for my child’s specific interests and learning style; and she keeps enthusiasm high with fun incentives like stickers and prizes for mastering skills or specific challenges.
Ms. Melton is respectful of our family’s needs by also offering virtual lessons due to illness or travel. The online offering is equally as engaging and an excellent alternative when needed.
I was seeking an instructor who would help my daughter develop into a well-rounded musician – and I can’t think of a better fit.
